Do you Travel?
I am local to Central Ontario, but I will certainly travel for the right opportunity to work with the right client.
How long have you been doing this?
I am a full time elementary teacher, but I have been doing photography for about 12 years now. I have expanded into semi-professional (a side business) shooting family photos, equine and weddings in the last 5 years.
How many photos do we get?
I do not shoot with a specific guaranteed minimum or maximum number of photos because I want to deliver you every image that I think you will love. On average, in a mini-shoot (45 bmins) I would typically deliver at least 25 photos, a full 90 minute shoot could be over 50 plus, and then obviously longer events like weddings would see closer to 500-800 images depended on the length of the event.
How do we get our photos?
I deliver photos using Pixieset. It allows for image downloads, favouriting images and social site sharing. Depending on the type of shoot images may be all included in the price of the shoot, or may be available for purchase (such as at a horse jumping show).
Do you retouch photos?
I can certainly do basic retouching in Photoshop (as well as other software). If you have specific retouching requests we can discuss them, but I will not perform anything beyond basic retouching (such as a blemish removal) without prior discussion. If you have a specific vision of a photo that could require some digital manipulation, we can discuss that as well. For an additional charge I have gone so far as to shoot a sunset silhouette photo at 12:30 in the afternoon.
Whats your turn around time?
While I cannot guarantee a specific timeframe, for smaller shoots (45 mins) my goal is a turnaround time of no more than 2 weeks. Full 90 minute shoots will typically be delivered within 2-3 weeks, and larger events like weddings within 4-6 weeks. Equine jumping event photos will typically be available within a week of the event.

How far out do you book?
During the summer months my schedule is flexible and I can usually find availability for shoots within a week or two. But if you have an event planned, I am happy to book as far out as you are planning.
What should we do for an engagement session?
With special moments like an engagement session, or other couples shoots, my goal is to try to capture as natural of images as possible. While I will help with some direction/poses, I want to be as inobtrusive as possible, and document the love between you and your significant other.
What should we wear?
What you should wear depends greatly on the theme of your shoot, the season, etc. In general it is best to avoid large bright patterns on clothing (particularly in groups). In planning your individual shoot we can certainly discuss clothing choices.
